Aldie VA Newborn Photographer | Incorporating Keepsakes into Your Session

One of the best things about my job (other than taking photos for a living) is getting to know my families on a personal level.  I always try and ask questions around how they met, where they are from originally and who they are as a person.  Specifically their job, but not always.  This allows me to build a deeper connection so they can become comfortable with me but also because I genuinely like people.  One of the best ways to get to know my clients is by the items they bring to incorporate during their session.   The items they bring allow me a small glimpse into their family and their past.  As much as detail shots are important so are what I like to call heirloom shots.

The Synderman family brought along some very important items for their session and it was so fun to put my spin on them.  As you can see below, Dad is a firefighter and wanted to incorporate his things.  They also brought a very special flag to use as well. I hope these images are passed down from generation to generation.
