Northern VA Photographer | Covid-19

Never in a million years did I ever think I would name a blog post after a pandemic.  Honestly, I never thought I would be writing a post about one either, but here we are.  We are in a crazy time.  My little business that I have worked so hard for over the past 11 years is temporarily shutting down.  I have had to move session dates and I have had to refund some clients due to the type of session they booked.  It’s not what I want, but it is what the world needs at the moment.  As much as it pains me, all April sessions will be moved.  We will make decisions on May and beyond when we get there but for now, this is what needs to happen.

I am spending my time finishing up all the sessions from before we shut down and work on my very own Front Porch Project.  I am a social person and not seeing those that matter to me is hard.  But I know its for the greater good.  I have done a few sessions from more than 6 ft distance which makes me feel like I am yelling at people.  However, it gives me a sense of socialization and a lot of joy.  Joy, as I am still shooting and creating and doing it for free.

Hopefully when this is all said and done, I will be able to resume my business. Please, when you are considering small businesses look in all aspects of the community.  I need your support and I know I am not the only one.  Thank you all for allowing me into your lives and allowing me to capture your memories.  I can’t wait to do it again!  Until then, below are a few of my front porch images.
