Northern Virginia Family Photographer | July Fourth
Thirteen years ago I wouldn’t have given the Fourth of July a second thought past being thankful for our country’s independence. We would have picnics and watch fireworks but that was it. A year later, it became one of my most favorite holidays EVER. The change came with the one who made me a Mama for the first time. I remember it like it was yesterday. My oldest born came into the world as a force to reckoned and that hasn’t changed. He is super smart, way smarter than me. He is kind, compassionate, witty and oh so handsome. But I’m not biased or anything! He is also very laid back and goes with the flow.
Every year since he was about 5 we have taken the same patriotic photos. Him alone and of course with his siblings. His favorite color, of course, is red. He is not a fan of photos but completely lets me take them. Once a year, I put them all in red, white and blue and spend five minutes snapping some photos. Happy birthday to my oldest and happy Independence Day, America. What a fantastic day, every single year.
