Northern Virginia Family Photographer | Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day can be the best or worst day depending on who you ask. I don’t remember the exact point in my life when I knew I wanted to be a mom. I just knew I did. My husband and I got married right out of college and never had the conversation about when we wanted to start a family. It was a complete shock when I found out I was pregnant not even two years after getting married. Unfortunately that pregnancy did not last and I was one of the millions of women who experienced a miscarriage. It was devastating and rocked me to my core and I wondered what this meant for us to have kids at all. Eight months later I found out I was pregnant again, the month my fist little was due. It was bitter sweet but terrifying all at the same time as you go through pregnancy wondering, what if? Little did I know that I would not have just one kiddo, but three in a span of 38 months.
Being a mom is the hardest most rewarding job and I thank God everyday for my three blessings. I try not to take this job for granted but know sometimes I do. Sometimes I want nothing more than to be alone and not be responsible for three other people. Then I am again reminded what a blessing they are and how truly lucky I am to call them mine.

For the ones who have lost a child.
For the ones who long to be a Mother.
You are not forgotten, or alone and you are in my heart today and everyday.
